Kohima, Nagaland : In its continuous efforts to provide relief to the local population, Indian Army organised a medical camp at Old Age Homes in Kumbi and Naodakhong of Bishnupur district in Manipur on 01 October 2024, commemorated as the International Day of Older People. The camp provided medical assistance to elderly people residing in the old age homes and adjoining villages.
A dedicated team of Army doctors and nursing staff provided a comprehensive health check-ups, consultations, treatments and medicines to 83 senior citizens, including 35 women.
Amidst ongoing challenges in the region, this initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to serving the community and promoting health and well-being.
