Kohima, Nagaland : On the 75th Foundation Day of the Margherita Public Senior Secondary School in Tinsukia district of Assam, a weapon and equipment display has been organised by the Indian Army from 26 Dec to 28 Dec 2024. The display showcased state of the art weapons and equipments being used by the Army. The display included the Rocket Launchers, Medium Machine Guns, Sniper Rifles, Hand Held Thermal Imagers, Night Vision Goggles etc.
The display was thoroughly enjoyed by the students and locals who thronged the stands in overwhelming numbers, to have a firsthand experience of handling and understanding about the displayed weapons and equipments.
Prominent alumnus of school and dignitaries, including Shri Pabitra Margherita Minister of State for External Affairs and Shri Bhaskar Sharma Member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from Margherita also visited the display.
The event was successful in inspiring the students about employment opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces, also, contriting towards the Nation Building.
The event culminated with a debate competition on the topic , ‘The pragmatic Application of Natural Human Intelligence will be Obsolete in the age Artificial Intelligence’, gave an opportunity to the young minds towards the critical thinking. The finale was later lit up with the performance of heart-throb of Assam, Zubeen Garg with his melodious songs mesmerising the gathering.
