Kohima : The Indian Army is organising the Kwata Football Tournament in Bishnupur District of Manipur. The tournament will be held from 19 Jan to 31 Jan 2025.
The opening ceremony was held at the Kwakta Football Ground on 19 January 2025. 16 men’s teams from Kwakta and adjoining areas are participating in a 13 day long tournament, being played on a league cum knockout format. The league matches scheduled from 19 to 27 January 2025, followed by the Quarterfinals on 28 and 29 January, Semifinals will be played on 30 January, and the Final on 31 January 2025.
As part of its ongoing efforts to promote the vibrant sports and fitness among the youth of the region, showcasing commitment of the Army to promote harmony and youth engagement.
