Kohima, Nagaland : In an effort to support the underprivileged communities, the Indian Army distributed essential relief items to the residents of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Mongkot Chepu in Ukhrul district of Manipur. The event was graced by the presence of Army Officers and Mr Ashish Das, DC, Ukhrul.
During the program, the school bags, solar lights and hygiene kits were distributed offering vital assistance to individuals from financially weaker background. Mr. Hanoe Baite, General Secretary of the Kuki Students’ Organization (KSO) Ukhrul, delivered the welcome and keynote address, setting the tone for the distribution ceremony.
The Army officers interacted with the residents and local attendees, encouraging them to pursue the right path with dedication and resilience. Over 180 camp residents and locals participated in the event. Community leaders and residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Army for this thoughtful initiative, which underscores the Army’s commitment to community welfare and its ongoing efforts to uplift marginalized sections of society.
