ARMY EQUIPPED AN ORPHANAGE IN TINSUKIA

Kohima, Nagaland : In a commendable effort to uplift community welfare, the Indian Army provided essential articles to the Purvottar Vikas Parishad for the benefit of Gyankush Residential Children Welfare Centre, an orphanage in Balupara Gaon, Borguri district, Tinsukia district of Assam. This initiative has been conducted under Operation Sadhbhavna, to address the educational and administrative needs of 127 children.

Army supplied vital items including mattresses, slippers, school bags, buckets, mixture grinder, pillows, bed sheets, ceiling fans and glasses. These provisions are set to significantly enhance the living and learning conditions for the children, fostering a supportive environment for their education and overall well-being.

The management of the Gyankush Residential Children Welfare Centre expressed deep gratitude to the Spear Corps of Indian Army for their generous contribution, which reflects the unwavering commitment of Army, empowering local communities and supporting the educational development of underprivileged children.

This initiative further highlights the Indian Army’s dedication to social responsibility through the Operation Sadhbhavna project, reinforcing their role in community development across the region.
